3D Cameras and 1080p HD
All of the 3D cameras are also 2D cameras and the all enjoy a high megapixel sensors. Fujifilm W3 has 10 megapixel, Sony TX9 has 12 megapixel, Aiptek 3D i2 has 5 megapixel, Inlife Easy 820 3D has 5 megapixel, and they all support some HD formats.
They more branded ones support 1080p and the rest support 720p, more resolution means clearer view and superior HD watching. So customers have 3D cameras that can capture life at high megapixel sensors and have playback output of HD formats.
Because the best part with 3D cameras is to watch the new 3D files on the 3D capable HDTV – there is a need for the correct 1080p HDMI cable to interconnects between the 3D camera and the 3D HDTV.
1.4 HDMI Cable for 3D HD TVs.
3D HDTV are working at very high levels of speed connections and reading of data capabilities. This is because the 1080p resolution which is known as “full HD” or “true HD” means that there are 1080 lines of pixels running from top to bottom (horizontal) on the TV screen. Regular TV cables or 1.3 HDMI cable cannot handle so much digital data per second. So the 1.4 hdmi cables are a vital part of the home entertainment connection bundle.
The HDMI cable is the last cable in the chain, it goes from the cable box/Blu-ray/3D camera to the HDTV.
HDMI 1.4 HDTV and 3D watching
All 3D cameras capture 2 frames simultaneously, those are then combined by the 3D camera processor chip into one 3D image (or 3D video). Most 3D cameras have a default of 3D HD frames capturing so there are actually 2 HD frames caught at once and need to be transferred at once for 3D video watching later on.
3D HD-TVs are displaying the same 2 frames, one for each eye. This means that they need higher frame rate (refresh rate) so the 3D will look clear and smooth, you will see most of the GOOD 3D HDTVs have 120 Hz or even 240Hz. If a HDTV has less than 100Hz frame rate, than it is too low and the picture my seem flickering.
The new 1080p hdmi 1.4 cables support high frame rates of 120Hz and higher, see link below to purchase one at Amazon.
What is 1080p HDMI Cable
Not so long ago, HD (hi-definition) would have been 720p, meaning 720 horizontal lines that create the HD image. The Aiptek i2 3D camera has a 720p HD resolution for instance. But the 720p resolution was only a temporary stop on the way to 1080i (i=interlace) to nowadays 1080p (p=progressive).
The 1080p cable is another name for the high speed 1.4 HDMI standard cable. It means the cable can support 1080p.
If you might remember ages ago.. we had a video output and audio output from the video or DVD.. now HDMI cables carry both high bandwidth video and audio, so high streaming of both needs different formats and abilities like the 1080 cable has.
Are Expensive 1080p HDMI 1.4 Cables Better?
Unlike regular cables that follow the rule of thumb of “less Resistance the better the cable is. and the more it costs.” Those 1.4 HDMI 1080p cables are fairly the same digital data transfer is not like analoge cables. So you do not need to get broke to buy a 6 feet cable.
There are cheap and worthy 1.4 HDMI 1080p cables at Amazon, that will serve your needs very well. For most people with regular TV or newer HD TV the cheap 1.4 HDMI cable will be enough.
Buy Cheap or Expensive 1.4 HDMI Cable?
Most people who bought a cheap HDMI cable, used it for their new TV which may probably was not a 3D HDTV 120hz.. those people could not notice any difference between cheap cable or expensive cable..
The reason that people can’t see the difference in their picture is the fact that the TV is probably not really good enough to harvest all the capabilities the wire carries from the source. When it comes down to new LED, LCD – 1080p Full HD with 3D capability, 120Hz or 240Hz.. Then the difference can be seen.
Further more, when all the 1.4 HDMI 1080p cables cost now the same ($7-$9) and the cheapest one costs $3, so there isn’t a great saving when buying the cheap cable. Not so long ago, cables used to cost 30-50 bucks! So buying cheap made sense.
Premium 1.4 HDMI 3D cables are better in some features, as you can see in the picture (by MediaBridge) so saving $6 on HDMI cable when investing so much on Hi-Tech 3D camera and 3D HDTV with 3D blu-ray disk player seems… not so wise.
So if you bought a 3D camera you will need a 1080p HDMI cable, it goes as well when you buy any other 3D HDTV or 3D Blu-ray. All those devices need a fast transfer Ethernet 1.4 cable with high speed or ultra speed.
There are several brands for the 1080p HDMI cables some cost more than others.
