Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 3D Still and Video Camera

At Last Panasonic Lumix 3D Camera

Will 2012 be the Panasonic Lumix 3D camera year? 2011 was the year of the emerging 3D technology, with new releases 3D cameras and 3D HDTVS. In the beginning it was Fuji who was leading the 3D segment, with it’s W1 and later the top niche W3 three dimensional cameras. Then Sony was doing it’s best not to leave the 3D segment untouched and released the TX9 3D camera, which was not a full 2-lens camera but a camera with i-panoramic 3D image stitching.

Sony rammed the lead with it’s Bloggie 3D camera and the first ever 3D Sony camcorder with built in 3D lens!

Is Panasonic at The 3D Scene

Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 3D Still and Video CameraPanasonic was falling behind Sony and Fuji-film last year (2011) because it did not have the main stream 3D camera to sell. Panasonic was leading for a few month with it’s 3D camcorders, but even that did not hold too much, because the Panasonic 3D camcorders were 2D camcorders with 3D attachment lenses.

Panasonic was putting most of it’s efforts on the 3D TV growing markets, trying to bite off large chunks of market shares with its 3D HDTV. Hammering other brands with it’s LED and Plasma superior technologies.

Panasonic Lumix 3D Camera

The new up coming star of the 3D cameras for this year is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 3D Still and Video Camera. Panasonic has been stalling for the CES-2012 show, to release the new 3D Lumix camera. The Panasonic Lumix 3D camera can be the most refreshing 3D gadget for the CES-2012 show.

When checking the Panasonic spec, the first thing you notice some of its advance features like:

2 Lenses – The camera has 2 lenses! This means it was designed to process two images at once into one full 3D image. The 2 lens give the Panasonic a head start over all Sony TX cameras (TX5, TX9, TX10 and TX100 3D cameras), because Sony cameras have only one lens, and limited 3D options. Panasonic is lined up with Fuji W3 and the Aiptek 3D cameras with 2 lens per device.

The two lens at the Panasonic Lumix 3D are close and not ‘human eye-wide’ like the Fujifilm Real W3 3D camera, this may mean that in some ranges the W3 will get deeper prospective 3D images.

Crazy photography options – The two lens and the smart mechanism between these lens allows some very unique photography options. Taking two different scenes with one camera. One lens can shoot a wide angle while the other can zoom on someones face!

3D Video & Still – The Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 3D is a Still and Video Camera. With full HD capabilities! Capturing up to 8 mega-pixel in the 3D mode and 12 mega-pixel with the 2D mode.

large 3.5-inch Smart Touch screen – The back of the camera is only a touch screen! So it is easy to control, and easy to see the scenes you capture in real time. As expected with these kind of technology packed device the Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 3D Still and Video Camera has all the user features of face recognition, Intelligent scene and light control, so every picture is a good shot.
